CLARIFICATION OF GROUND UNDER REPAIR STATUS:
With the competitive golf season starting, the Course Committee comprising the Club Captain, Club Professional and Course Superintendent have reviewed the Ground Under Repair (GUR) status across the course. The outcome of their deliberations are as follows:-

#2 Hole: The mounding down all the left hand side including the new exit from the green, and the new mounding to the right hand side of the green is GUR with a compulsory free drop at the point of nearest relief no closer to the hole.

#4 Hole: All recently stump ground areas and repaired logging damage areas on both sides of the fairway are considered GUR with an optional free drop at the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole.

#5 Hole: All recently stump ground areas and repaired logging damage areas on both sides of the fairway are considered GUR with an optional free drop at the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole.

The Rough Separating the #13 and #14 Fairways: All recently stump ground areas and repaired logging damage areas on both sides of the fairway are considered GUR with an optional free drop at the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole.

Recently Stump Ground Areas Outside of the Above Localities: All recently stump ground areas outside of the above localities composed of fine woodchips are considered GUR with an optional free drop at the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole.

The Two Mulched Slash Piles Between #13 & #5 and Between #5 & #16: Both are considered GUR with a compulsory free drop at the point of nearest relief no closer to the hole.

NB. If it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in GUR, the player may substitute another ball without penalty and drop within one club length of the point of entry to the GUR at the point of nearest relief no closer to the hole.

The above rulings will come into effect from Saturday 20th February 2010.

BUNKERS MUST BE RAKED:
Some members are not raking bunkers after they have entered them to play a shot. Especially now that our bunkers are being machine raked three times a week, it is ABSOLUTELY ESSENTIAL THAT EVERY PLAYER RAKES EVERY BUNKER THEY ENTER. The sand in the bunkers is being prepared to a greater depth and therefore players footprints are a lot deeper in the softer sand. There have been numerous complaints about balls landing in deep heel marks - so please be considerate to other players and RAKE THOSE BUNKERS!!!

RETURN RANGE BALLS TO THE PRO-SHOP:
Range balls are the property of the Driving Range and should be returned to the Pro-Shop if found anywhere on the course or around the Clubhouse. If you are caught outside of the Driving Range with a rangeball, it will be considered theft.

FIREWOOD GATHERING - EVERY MONDAY UNTIL THE END OF MARCH:
Members are invited to gather firewood from the slash pile adjacent to the #2 green every Monday through until the end of March. The Grounds Staff will pull out logs and lay them out beside the slash pile for members to cut up from 9.00am on Mondays. Members MUST HAVE SIGNED A CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FORM AND HAVE ALL THE REQUIRED SAFETY GEAR. Please call at the office to sign the reqired form.

TAMPERING IN CART STORAGE SHED:
Electric cart and motor bike owners using the storage shed are reminded not to touch or tamper with the electric plugs in the shed. There have been recent incidents where power to chargers has been switched off. Power should be left on to chargers and air compressor at all times.

Happy Golfing
