REMINDER TO LOOK OUT FOR WALKERS ON THE AIRPORT PERIMETER WALK:

A lady was hit last week by a golf ball whilst walking on the track around the Airport perimeter. The ball hit her on the ankle resulting in a bad soft tissue injury. Members are reminded to look out for walkers on the Airport track and to delay their shot if necessary so as to minimise the possibility of hitting them

IMPORTANT CHANGES TO COURSE CONDITIONS:

The Grounds Committee have decided to introduce the waste area on #4 into play from SATURDAY 20 MARCH and consequently would like members to note the following changes to local rules as well as the change notified last week regarding protection of young trees identified by a stake that replaced Local Rule 3.

WASTE AREA ON RIGHT SIDE OF #4 - This area is now IN PLAY. You MUST play the ball as it lies. You are allowed to ground your club in a waste area.

MULCHED & SANDED TREE STUMPS & LOGGING DAMAGE REPAIRED AREAS - These areas are no longer GUR and are now IN PLAY. You MUST play the ball as it lies.

GUR AREAS - compulsory drop within 1 clublength from the nearest point of relief, not nearer the hole when on:-

- the dirt pile adjacent to the lateral water hazard in front of the ladies #1 tee
- all mounded areas on the left of #2 Fairway
- the new mound on the right side of #2 green
- the new exit on the left side of #2 green
- the mulched chip piles between #13 and #5 Fairways and between #5 and #16 Fairways
- the dirt pile to the left side of #14 green
- the grove of young manukas to the left of #4 green and to the right of the path from the 5th tee that is bounded by blue topped stakes.

GARDEN BETWEEN THE #12 AND #7 FAIRWAYS - No trees within this garden are staked, so you have to play the ball as it lies, or deem the ball unplayable and take relief under penalty of one stroke, as outlined under RULE 28.
