NEW MEMBERS DAY - SUNDAY 2 MAY :

An afternoon will be held for members who have joined the Club over the last 4 months on Sunday 2 May at 1.30pm.

The purpose of the afternoon is for new members to meet officials of the Club, ask questions, meet other new members, find out how sections of the Club operate, become more familiar with club facilities, play a few holes of golf and have a complimentary drink afterward. Email invitations will be sent to all new members but any members that feel they would gain from attending the function are warmly invited to participate.

SUNDAY BEGINNER SESSIONS RECOMMENCE - SUNDAY 2 MAY:

The beginner coaching sessions will recommence after the holiday break on Sunday 2 May. Sessions are from 9.30am to 10.30am and cost $2 per child.

Unfortunately our Junior Convenor of the past 20 months, Eddie Paurini, has had to resign from this important Club position due to work and family commitments. Any member interested in taking over this role of working with beginners and our Club's Junior members, please contact the office for a job description. We would be extremely pleased to hear from anyone!!

DELAY IN IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FROST POLICY:

The Club's frost policy was scheduled to be introduced from Monday 10 May. However, due to the mild autumn experienced this year, it has been decided to delay the introduction of the frost policy by one week at this stage. It is now scheduled to commence from MONDAY 17 MAY.

STATUS OF MOUNDS ALONGSIDE #2 FAIRWAY:

The temporary irrigation on the mounds along the left side of #2 hole was removed this week and the grass mown. The whole area had been sown with fescue seed on Friday last week.. The mounds were then inspected and it was decided that the mounds will remain as GUR until after the Men's Club Championships finish on 23 May. This will give the fescue 3 weeks to germinate and establish before we bring the mounds into play. The recent rains have been very useful in this regard.

MEMBERS INFORMATION MEETING ON THE COURSE REDEVELOPMENT - SATURDAY 15 MAY:
