The competition is a FOUR BALL MATCHPLAY EVENT. Under this format. reduce the Course Handicaps of all 4 players by the course handicap of the player with the lowest handicap, who shall then play from scratch. Allow each of the 3 other players 100% of the difference, with shots received being taken on the appropriate stroke holes. Women will receive 2 extra strokes to their course handicaps.

There will be a $100 grocery voucher at stake for closest to the pin on #17 hole! Funds raised on this hole will go toward our Junior Girls who will be managing this activity.

On completion of the round every player will be shouted their first drink by the President - thanks Bob! ENTRIES FOR CAPTAINS TROPHY CLOSE - 27 JUNE:
Men should note that entries for the Captains Trophy & Presidents Plate close on Sunday 27 June. The qualifying round will be held on Saturday 3 July followed by matchplay rounds on Sat 17 July, Sat 24 July, Sat 7 August and Sat 14 August.
This is a single matchplay event played on ruling handicap.

STATUS OF GARDENS BETWEEN #12 AND #7:
Members should note that the garden between #12 and #7 has been heavily thinned out as part of the planned course redevelopment and has now been tidied up to an extent that IT IS NOW NO LONGER CONSIDERED AS GROUND UNDER REPAIR. (ie. you must play the ball as it lies or take penalty relief for an unplayable lie under Rule 28.) None of the shrubs within this area are staked, so there is NO RELIEF from trees/shrubs under 2 clublengths in height.

GARDENS BEHIND #5 GREEN & BESIDE #13 TEE:

Long grass and weed areas behind #5 green and alongside the ladies #13 tee were sprayed last week in preparation for planting them with native grasses and coastal shrubs later this winter. The area was roped off to prevent players inadvertently transfering spray chemical to other parts of the course. These areas are still in play and you must play the ball as it lies or take penalty relief for an unplayable lie under Rule 28.
