Many of you would have seen the damage to the 18th Green. I am unsure what has caused it but have begun the process of removal of the turf with a large hole cutter. This will continue until it is back to normal. The cause has me concerned. Chemical and physical treatments haven’t had any effect. The rest of the green apart from these 3 isolated spots is in normal condition. This leads me to suspect possible alternative causes which is frustrating.
The extensions to the Greens that are slower to grass over than the rest will be intensively scarified and seeded next week if possible.
The Fairway seeding program will also begin in the next few weeks especially if the forecast rain over the coming days eventuates.
