With the frosty mornings preventing us getting on the Course early in the morning we have been doing some work on the paths and Clubhouse driveway. The larger potholes that were developing over at the Clubhouse have been filled and sealed over. We have also begun working our way around the Course trimming back the asphalt paths.
The Fairways received there routine slicing and the 5th and 18th Fairways have been fertilised. These 2 Fairways will be scarified and under-sown as soon as the weather begins to warm up.
The Rough Mower was out after its refurbishment and mowed any rough that required mowing. The Un-mown Rough will be assessed in the coming weeks and will more than likely be topped to allow a herbicide to be applied in mid September. Topping it allows the chemical to be more effectively applied to the targetted species of grass.
