In a very positive development for the Club, the Fairway Seeding machine has arrived. The Seed has also arrived and a big thank you to all those who donated to the cause. The NGC Board has also contributed $5000 which includes $1000 for a specialised germination fertilizer. It is now going to be a timing thing based around weather patterns to get the best return on the investment but all the seed should be in the ground within the next 3 weeks. The members won’t notice any disruption to the ground but will hopefully see an improvement in turf cover.
The greens have been fertilized this week and have all also had a growth inhibitor applied which will assist with a return to the normal speed of our Greens.
The bunkers have been sprayed for weeds and grass’s, they will also have a major re-shaping of the sand that has moved around in them in the near future.
