Its been a very wet first 6 months of the year. Up until the end of June last year we had 372 mm of rain. This year the total up to today is 714mm. In total last year we received 645mm which was a very dry year as we normally average approx 950mm at the Course. It will be interesting what the rest of the year holds.
Due to the wet week, work has been confined pretty much to the sheds. We have dismantled and serviced 10 Fairway Mower units which has taken 72 hours of Labour up to this point. We are very fortunate to have staff capable of undertaking this work in house as many Courses would send this type of work to a repairer. We do a lot of this repair work at this time of the year in preparation for the Spring growth season.
