Another 43mm of rain this week. As a result we have had the pump in the pond on the 1st most of the week. The rain also enabled me to apply our yearly insecticide to the Fairways. This insecticide is rated to be very safe to humans compared to some of the other nasty chemicals we used to have available.
This application combined with the rain has meant the Fairways haven’t been mown this week. It is too much of a risk with loosing the effectiveness of the chemical by mowing it off. This chemical has been a major reason why we have the recovery in the Fairway grass that we have had in recent years.
The weed-eater has also been busy this week with the bunkers and most grates and sprinklers having been trimmed also.
