Its been great weather for golf since we sowed the fairways but we could really do with some gentle rain for a few days to promote germination of the seed. The seed will sit in the ground until we do get rain but the best result will be achieved while the days remain warm.
We will be back to full staff levels next week. This will enable us to catch up on some of the general tidying up jobs around the Course.
While it would be great to get some rain, I hope it comes at night as it would be great for the competitors in the Festival of Golf Tournament to get some nice weather for a change this year.
The wind over the long weekend has shifted the sand around in the bunkers. It was very frustrating as I had re-shaped most of them last week. They will be re-shaped again next week.
