It has been a good month for the Course with 125mm of rain falling during the month. The rain has been well spaced out and hasn’t been followed by much wind which has been pleasing.
The Greens were sanded on Monday which has been well washed in by the rain later in the week.
The bunkers got some much needed attention with all the windblown sand re-levelled and shaped into the desired contours to allow the balls to end up in the centre of the bunkers. This is a big job which was also made more effective with the following rain consolidating the slopes around the edges.
The Tees have been fertilised and the Greens and Fairways will also have a significant fertiliser applied in the near future.
The Virgillia tree on the 16th will be removed in the near future. It has been given as long as possible to see if it was going to recover from the die-back but it now looks to be beyond the point of return.
