December already. The year has flown bye.
The Greens were this week Verti-Drained with the biggest tines that we use twice a year. They were also Verticut and sanded to aid recovery. The Greens seem to be disturbed less and less each time we do this. I believe this is because they are becoming healthier by the ability for the grass to get their roots down further.
I have some herbicide spraying to complete by Christmas. I would like to get the Tees, Fairways and rough all done by then.
The Grounds Committee allocated some money to mulch the Putting Green Garden that the Ladies have spent a lot of time tidying up. It has been mostly done and looks great. Thanks to both groups. It is a good example of how the restructured Grounds Committee can have a positive effect around the Course.
