Its been a busy week down here at the Golf Course.
We have prepared a pad for the BBQ to be used on at the Wendy House.
The greens have been double verti-cut, sanded and fertilised. As a result they are looking great and were playing a fast 12 feet when measured yesterday.
Some of the older type of sand has been taken out of one of the bunkers on the 18th and been transferred to 3 other bunkers on the Course. 2 on the 9th and 1 on the 15th. This will alleviate most of the sand blow problems we experience in these bunkers. This sand blow is due to the native light dune sand we have in the bunkers and the shape of the bunkers which predispose them to certain wind directions. The sand that was placed in the 5th waste area coped very well with the wind this week so a solution seems to have been found for that site.
We have tidied up some of the over-hanging bushes in the Clubhouse driveway. We attempted to tidy up the Clubhouse entranceway sleeper garden but the high winds made this a waste of time. This will be done in the near future.
I am away on annual leave for the next 2 weeks so there won’t be a report until I return.
