It has been great to see Derrick and his team have a great week of weather for the Festival of Golf. They have been so unlucky in the past with windy weather especially when they have played at Nelson GC. Congratulations on what appears to have been another very well run tournament.
The Fairways were fertilized with a starter fertilizer on Tuesday. This will help with seed germination of the remaining seed. The following rain was a great help and will enable the germination process. The 5th and 18th fairways have been receiving irrigation. The seed has germinated on these fairways and is showing encouraging signs. This warm weather is certainly helping and any rain over the next few weeks will be welcome.
