With a fine, windy week we have been concentrating on getting the Course mowed into shape. The wet, warm Spring has provided a perfect scenario for Spring growth. It takes a couple of weeks to get on top of this growth spurt so hopefully next weeks rain isn’t as heavy as forecast.
The changeable weather is having a big affect on our normal maintenance around the Course. I have a long list of renovation, fertilizing and spraying programs to complete but these can only be done as the conditions allow.
It is very pleasing to see the benefit of sowing grass into our Fairways. All those involved with the decision to do so and those who donated towards it should be very proud of the result. Of course, to see the true benefit will require a successful water supply project.
