Total Golf Limited Player of the Year:
Open to male club members with full playing rights. Points awarded for results achieved in Captains Trophy, Encounter Shield, Stableford Cup, Staig Memorial, Senior/Junior Plate, Seniors Trophy, Founders Cup and Club Championship and associated events.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP:
All active members shall have the right to qualify for the Club Championship. The lowest sixteen gross scores in the qualifying rounds enter match play except that members who qualify and are also eligible to play in associated events by virtue of their handicap must elect to play the Club Championship before final qualifying positions (and before any playoffs) are declared by the Match Committee; otherwise those players shall play in the appropriate associated event. Final over 36 Holes.
KERR CUP, LEGGATT CUP, THOMSON CUP, COCK CUP,TERRY O’DONNELL MEMORIAL TROPHY:
Lowest sixteen gross scores in qualifying rounds for these divisions of the Men’s Club Championships qualify for match play. Finals all played over 36 holes.
FOUNDER’S CUP:
Handicap (25-36) as at the date entries close. Play over 18 Holes as drawn on ruling handicaps.
SENIOR’S TROPHY:
Matchplay on ruling handicap for seniors 70 years of age and over. For players who do not want to compete in Club Championships and associated events. Played on specific dates. Published draw.
NEWMAN PLATE, LOW PLATE, CULL PLATE, STIRLING PLATE, COOTE PLATE, RANDLE FAMILY PLATE, SENIOR PLATE:
Matchplay off the stick, for players eliminated in the first round of Club championship, Kerr Cup, Leggatt Cup, Thomson Cup and Cock Cup.
CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP EVENTS GENERALLY:
The Committee reserves the right to reduce the number of players qualifying for the Club Championship, or associated events, to eight players should the number of entrants warrant.
ENCOUNTER SHIELD:
Nett aggregate medal. Best three out of four rounds. Played on specified dates, published draw.
MIRIMAR VASE:
To be played in conjunction with Encounter Shield. Gross aggregate stroke play. Best three of four rounds.
P.G.A GROSS SALVER:
Best gross score in Club Qualifying rounds.
P.G.A NETT SALVER:
Best nett score in Club Qualifying rounds.
NORSEWEAR TROPHY:
Awarded to the player with most wins in Tasman Cup matches.
SLOAN TROPHY PLAYER OF THE YEAR:
Awarded to the player with most wins in Sloan Trophy matches.
SHOOT-OUT:
Open to all male members Qualifying 4 best out of 10 stableford rounds played on specified dates. Final – top 18 play Shoot-out over 9 holes to be played on a specified Sunday.
CAPTAIN’S TROPHY:
Match play in ruling handicap as drawn. Played on specified dated. Published draw.
PRESIDENT’S PLATE:
Played in conjunction with Captain≠s Trophy for players eliminated in the first round of match play.
STAIG MEMORIAL FOURBALL:
Enter singly. Partners (one senior player and one junior player) to be drawn. Match play on ruling handicap as drawn. Played on specific date. Published draw.
SENIOR-JUNIOR PLATE:
Played in conjunction with Staig Memorial Fourball for players eliminated in the first round of match play.
STABLEFORD CUP:
36 Holes Best Ball Stableford. Played on specified dates. Choose own partner.
HAMILTON GIBBS CUP:
36 Hole Nett Medal Foursome played on specified date. Choose own partner.
OPENING DAY TROPHY:
Best nett score in the Club Opening Day, Best Ball competition, Open to Mens, Womens, and Mixed Pairs.
PETER GENTRY TROPHY:
For annual competition by veteran (55 years and over) members of the club.
KEN JONES MEMORIAL TROPHY:
For competition on specified Wednesdays among male members of the club. Single stableford on handicap of day played, best three of four rounds count on aggregate, card marker to enter score on result sheet.
PATRON’S ROSE BOWL:
For competition on specified Wednesdays among veteran (over 60) male members of the club, Single Stableford on handicap of day played; best three of four round count in aggregate; card marker to enter score on sheet.
FRANK AMMUNDSEN TROPHY:
Gross Championship open to all Junior players under the age of 21 years as at 1st February of current year. 18 Holes qualifying followed by match play played on specific dates.
BRYAN DONNELLY TROPHY:
Most improved Junior.
ROY MACE SALVER:
Best nett (for Junior Members under the age of 21 years).
MAX WARREN TROPHY:
Best Gross (for Junior Members under the age of 21 years) played in conjunction with Roy Mace Salver.
JAN FELLOWES SALVER:
Best Nett (for Junior Girls under the age of 2l years) played in conjunction with Roy Mace Salver.
JOHN ROSS TROPHY:
For competition among juniors still at school, depending on entries, 18 Holes qualifying on handicap; then match play on handicap.
COSTELLO SHIELD:
Single stableford team’s match, President’s v Captain’s.
MABIN EASTER CUP:
18 Hole Best Ball Stableford, Men’s, Women’s or Mixed Pairs.
AIR FORCE CUP:
Mixed Canadian Foursome – Choose your own partner, played on a specified Sunday.
PAT HARBROW TROPHY:
Mixed combined stableford – drawn partners, played on a specified Sunday.
NORMAN KERR MEMORIAL TROPHY:
Mixed Pairs combined stableford Hidden partners.
SUMMER COMPETITIONS
MOULDER CUP:
Best of three out of four Stableford rounds on specified dates. Published draw for first round only. In the event of a tie the fourth round shall be taken into account.
HALLEY CUP:
Eclectic Score. Scores on weekends and public holidays only to count.
