Nelson Women’s Classic 2016

Saturday’s play will be Pairs Best Ball Stableford, playing with your partner. Saturday only, there is a car to be won, courtesy of Kia Nelson and Sujon Frozen Berries for a hole in one. A shotgun start at 1.00 p.m. will enable plenty of time for your arrival into Nelson. For those of you planning an early arrival there will be time to visit our renowned Saturday morning market. People watch whilst sampling some of our local delicacies, visit our many shoe shops, and swim at our gorgeous Tahunanui Beach or just chill out in our beautiful city with its many attractions.

After play will be prize giving in the clubhouse, an opportunity to enjoy our sponsors products. Total Golf will have a wide range of women’s golf wear available on site.

Sunday’s play will be Single Gross, Nett and Stableford with tee times starting from 8.30 a.m. in handicap order. Division one will be Silver 0 to 18.4 index. The remaining entries will be divided into even divisions depending on entry numbers.

The top prize of the day will be for Best Nett over all divisions. Prize giving will commence in the Clubhouse once all play is complete again leaving some time to enjoy what Nelson has to offer, a trip to a local vineyard perhaps or for the more energetic a cycle along one of our beautiful cycle paths.

There are many other golf courses nearby to explore so we look forward to welcoming you at Nelson Golf Club in February. This is a popular event so we urge you to get in early with your bookings.

Entry Fee must be submitted with the entry form or direct deposited at the time of entry. No entries will be confirmed until the entry fee is received. Entry fees will only be refunded if withdrawal is before closing date.

Competition Format

Saturday 27^th February

Best Ball Stableford, playing with your partner. 1 pm Shotgun start, Registration from 12 noon.

Win a Kia Cerato for a Hole in One – conditions apply.

Prize giving will commence at conclusion of play.

Sunday 28^th February

Gross, Nett and Stableford Prizes in each division. First Division Silver 0 – 18.4. Remaining entries will be divided into even divisions.

Major Prize for Best Nett over all divisions.

Tee times starting from 8.30am, from Tees 1 and 10 Registration from 7.45 am.

Sunday’s draw will be seeded and posted on the Nelson Golf Club start sheet www.nelsongolf.co.nz on Thursday 25th February and in the Ladies locker room at the club house.

In the event of a tie for best overall nett, there will be a play off for best nett, on the 18^th, once all results are in. This will be repeated, until we have one Overall Best Nett Winner. All other ties will be decided on count back.

Prize Giving will be at the conclusion of the play or play off, if required.

Entry Conditions

Entry is open to Amateur women golfers, who are a full playing financial member of a Golf Club affiliated to NZLGU or to an overseas Club affiliated to their National GOLF Organisation. Players must have an official handicap index. Maximum handicap index 40.0.

All entries, must submit an entry form along with entry fee of $25 per day, per player.

General Rules of Play

The Rules of play: shall be the Rules of Golf as approve by the R & A Rules Ltd, together with the Local Rules as drawn up by the Tournament Committee.

The Tournament Committee reserve the right to refuse an entry for any reason. Change the event if need be, due to inclement weather or any other reason. Any disputes will be resolved by the Tournament Committee and their decision will be final.
