Firstly a big thank you to the Mens Committee for donating a new set of Aluminium Putting Cups for the Greens. The old ones had become worn resulting in the pins coming out in the wind.
The Fairways were fertilised this morning which will result in improved turf density over the coming weeks. The Tees will be fertilised next week.
The Clubhouse end of the 18th Fairway has been sprayed with Roundup to eradicate unwanted grasses in the remaining cooch grass. The cooch will become more dominant with the removal of these grasses over the coming weeks.
The Greens have been Verticut and have had a water penetrant applied this week. They will be sanded on Monday before the Vets Tournament.
Good luck to everyone qualifying for Club Champs over the next few weeks. We will have the Course in Tournament condition as much as possible with events such as Club Champs, Interprovincial Quadrangular and Fidelity Life coming up amongst others over the next few months.
