The Greens have been needle-tined this week. This is part of the preparation work to ensure the Greens are in top condition for the up-coming Nz Under 19’s Champs as well as being part of our normal maintenance routine.
The Greens Height of Cut has been raised by .5 of a mm to 3.5mm. This was as a result of the Greens becoming to quick for the requirements of 10.5 – 11 feet for the start day of the NZ 19’s. We want to present the Greens in the smoothest possible condition which requires Rolling them. Without rolling them this week they were running at 12 Feet. Raising the Height should slow them down enough to allow us to begin a rolling regime. If not we may have to raise the Height again.
