I would like to start this post by thanking Sheldon for his 13 years on the grounds staff at the Nelson Golf Club. He has been a valuable employee saving the Club a huge amount in the engineering repairs of our ageing fleet of machines. He has also been a great set of eyes out on the Course often reporting issues that required attention that could easily have been missed. He will be hard to replace.
The focus this week has been the continued seeding of the Fairways. If the weather allows, we should have this completed next week.
A committee has been formed to recommend progress on the coastal erosion problems. They will be putting a proposal to the Board in the near future and work will be done on the affected areas after the Festival of Golf.
