Dick and Gerry were very busy over the School holiday period completing many jobs around the Course while Sheldon and I were away on leave for 2 weeks.
The Grounds Committee met on Tuesday. One of the outcomes was that when the bunker sand is saturated from the heavy rain we have recently experienced, we will leave them as GUR for a longer period until they are more playable.
The Greens and Fairways have had samples sent away to a Lab this week. This is so we can best match nutrient inputs to meet soil deficiencies and promote the desired grass species that allows better playing surfaces. These samples were taken from the small holes that were on the Greens that have now been filled with sand.
